In clinical practice, there is often a clear difference in the time required to reach a diagnosis between medical students and experienced physicians. Students and junior doctors typically take longer, as they are still building their clinical reasoning skills, systematically reviewing possibilities, and relying heavily on theoretical knowledge. In contrast, experienced physicians are able to recognize patterns more quickly, prioritize key findings, and narrow down differential diagnoses within minutes due to years of exposure to similar cases. This difference does not reflect intelligence, but rather the impact of experience, clinical exposure, and developed intuition in medical decision-making.
